LOOKING TO START A CAREER IN Building and Construction?Register you interest for Hervey Bay.Housing Industry Association Ltd (HIA) RTO ID: 1091 - Trade Ready Program in the construction industry is funded by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) to offer a Trade Ready Program in the Building & Construction Industry.  The next program will be delivered in Hervey Bay commencing Monday 29 April 2024.This program is a pre-employment program designed to provide additional skills and experiences to successful participants to gain entry-level experience working in the Building and Construction Industry. Successful candidates will gain a better understanding of the work involved to assist in building their job readiness and prepare participants to transition into a career in the Building and Construction Industry.This program also provides successful participants with an opportunity to link directly with employers.The program is described as a Work Experience / Pre-Employment Program which runs for 6 weeks and includes 3 weeks of off the job learning and 3 weeks work experience.This program includes 6 nationally recognised accredited units to be provided by HIA’s RTO: Housing Industry Association Ltd, RTO ID: 1091CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industryCPCCWHS2001 - Apply WHS requirements, policies, and procedures in the construction industryCPCCOM1014 - Conduct workplace communicationCPCCOM1015 - Carry out measurements and calculationsCPCCOM2001 - Read and interpret plans and specificationsCPCCOM1013 – Plan and organise workAnd 2 non-accredited workshopsAsbestos Awareness & Silica AwarenessSuccessful candidates will need to be:An Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of AustraliaPermanently reside in QueenslandDrivers Licence or Reliable Transport as sites vary (Desirable)A valid USI, please see https://www.usi.gov.au/Upon successful completion of the nationally recognised accredited units, candidates will be issued a Statement of Attainment including your accredited units been assessed as competent.If this sounds like you, Register Now!
