HIA Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program

The Housing Industry Association Ltd (HIA), RTO ID: 1091 and the GTO Pre-Apprenticeship Program is proudly supported by the QLD Government to deliver a subsidised 12-week Pre-Apprenticeship Program in the Building & construction Industry for aspiring apprentices and trainees, commencing early February 2025.  This program is Gold Coast based.

We are seeking expressions of interest for those who are keen to commence a new career in construction, whether it’s a trade or office-based traineeship.

This program is a pre-apprenticeship program designed to provide additional skills and experiences to successful participants to gain entry-level experience working in the Building and Construction Industry.

Successful applications will gain a Nationally Recognised Qualification in CPC10120 Certificate I in Construction, skills in Workplace Fitness and Nutrition, Financial Literacy and financial support whilst completing the program to achieve a thriving career in the building industry.

This program also provides successful participants with an opportunity to link directly with employers.

Successful candidates will need to be:

• An Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia
• Permanently reside in Queensland
• Drivers Licence and/or Access to reliable transportation
• A verifiable USI is required at the time of course enrolment. You may contact HIA for support if required.
